From humanity's earliest days, we have looked up into the night sky and asked ourselves, "Are we alone in the universe? Will we ever encounter life from other planets? And will they be awesome or lame?" Here are twenty different species of interstellar sightseers who came to Earth and either impressed or annoyed us.

Play Test of "Remember the Maine and to He** with Spain"
Today several of us play tested Jay's Bayou Wars game, Remember the Maine and to He** with Spain!. Jay has modified Travis' Seas of Steel WW2 naval rules to accommodate the much less technological pre-dreadnought ships of the American and Spanish navies. Jay also made some equalizing changes in both naval orders of battle, especially the Spanish. Jay's game will be on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 pm.

Decision in the Desert
The 1882 Anglo-Egyptian war
Decision in the Desert
The 1882 British-Egyptian war had only 1 major field battle, that of Tel-el-Kebir. When one games this war, one pretty much re-fights Tel-el-Kebir. This battle is not exactly a re-fight, but if you have a struggle in the desert between the British and the Egyptians, well you have to compare it to Tel-el-Kebir.

Aeronef: The Kaiser's Flyers in Action!

In the fist game, the German's were unable to stop enough
of the British flyers and Airships and the British had a lopsided
victory on points.. In the second game the Germans had
figured out that they had to get in close and concentrate
fire on the flyers and dirigibles with the most bombs aboard.
The Imperial German Luft service were JUST able to shoot
down enough of the British vessels to win.

Secret Photos revealed- Captured Martian!

The London Times. March 12th 1885.
Recent photos have now been released from those terrible events caused by the Martian invasion of southern england last year. While our defensive efforts around Woking proved unable to halt the Martian advance on London. Further north a crashed cylinder was able to be surrounded by a detachment of the 24th regiment of foot lead by Lt Bromhead and assisted by Colonel Shaftsbury. It appears this cylinder may have landed off course, since it did not come down in the usual " tri pattern" observed elsewhere in England.

Stephen A. Gilbert : G.A.S.L.I.G.H.T.

"Glorious Adventures in Science Loosely Involving Generally Historical Times." That's how Christopher Palmer ( at right ) and John 'Buck' Surdu describe their set of war gaming rules. In actual fact, G.A.S.L.I.G.H.T. is a great deal more than just another set of rules for Victorian style games. They more guidelines for recreating Steampunk genre skirmishes on the table top. Happy gamers can use miniatures from any scale they might wish to employ.
