Full Thrust is one of the easiest rule sets ever made, so this could work.
FT is a very good game indeed for fleet sized actions, though lacks the fidelity of S1889 for smaller ship on ship actions. This is well worth a look!
Might be just the thing for the large fleet on fleet battle.
Nah, I like Aeronef for that. FT includes all the systems within the vessel so it is less suitable for massed engagements

We really need to get a set
of Aeronef!
Well we here started out
with Starfleet Battles,
which requires a PhD to
play the bloody game, so
by comparison Full Thrust
was a dream!
