WWI - French Assault of German Trench system - Nivelle Offensive 1917
The battle played out over two nights. First night, late start as the French\Germans had to do planning before we could truly begin. We played two hours after that and got in all the preliminary bombardment (3 days) and 3 turns. We then finished (or nearly finished) on the second night and got through 5 more turns. This is a long battle report and I hope you make it the end!

Madasahatta Campaign
Eric Knowles was one of the pioneers of British wargaming, and his recent death marks the passing of one more member of that small group that made British wargaming what it is today. This book is dedicated to his memory, and particularly the Madasahatta Campaign, the long-running First World War Colonial wargame campaign that he ran

Steampunk Soldiers: Uniforms & Weapons from the Age of Steam (Dark Osprey)
Steampunk Soldiers is a unique pictorial guide to the last great era of bright and colorful uniforms, as well as an important historical study of the variety of steam-powered weaponry and equipment that abounded in the days before the Great War of the Worlds.
Between 1887 and 1895, the British art student Miles Vandercroft travelled around the world, sketching and painting the soldiers of the countries through which he passed. In this age of dramatic technological advancement, Vandercroft was fascinated by how the rise of steam technology at the start of the American Civil War had transformed warfare and the role of the fighting man. This volume collects all of Vandercroft's surviving paintings, along with his associated commentary on the specific military units he encountered.

Hannover CL.IIIA (Baur/Von Hengl)
The Hannover CL.III was a German military aircraft of World War I. It was a two-seat multi-role aircraft, primarily used as a ground attack machine.
Like the other Hannover "light-C-class", or "CL" designated aircraft, it included an unusual biplanar tail, allowing for a greater firing arc for the tail gunner. Until the introduction of this model, such tails had only been used on larger aircraft. The Hannover CL.IIIa in WW1 Wings of Glory is presented in versions flown by Rudolf Hager/Otto Weber and Johan Baur/Georg von Hengel, as well a Luftstreitkräfte model.

Earthmen On Mars!
Since my free trial of both PhotoShop and Paintshop Pro have run out, I have to take a short break from *Rough Riders On Mars!* for a bit (until I can buy one of them). So I'll take this time to post some pictures of the Earthlings that will be used for my *Edison's Conquest Of Mars! *games. These are 15mm figures of my own design (except for British 9pdr which is Minifig and the US and French guns that were designed by Richard Huston). *Edison's Conquest Of Mars! *allows for a wide variety of nationalities, however, at this time I have only French, German, British, and American uni...
