I've always wanted to use this one: HMS Ulysses
In keeping it classical: HMS Hermes: Hermes, the herald of the Olympian gods, is son of Zeus and the nymph Maia, daughter of Atlas and one of the Pleiades. Hermes is also the god of shepherds, land travel, merchants, weights and measures, oratory, literature, athletics and thieves, and known for his cunning and shrewdness. He was also a minor patron of poetry. He was worshiped throughout Greece especially in Arcadia.
HMS Basilisk: The mythical king of the serpents. In keeping with the current theme ;-)
HMS Elizabeth (The Bess)
CHARYBDIS and SCYLLA were both sea monsters of greek mythology who promised death to those who strayed too near. Both names were used historically by the Royal Navy too. Of course HMS White Wine Sauce sounds pretty good too!
White Wine Sauce can
be the steam launch
name...)
HMS SCYLLA....I've run across it
before, I like it.

HMS WWS...)
Ok HMS Scylla sounds pretty good!
