Cavalry Skirmish

After Sir Martian's decisive victory over the Wazulu at Inundi
pass. He sent out cavalry patrols from his strong position at the northern end of the pass.
The western most of these patrols consisting of a squadron of
lancers and one of dragoons encountered and drove off a similar
sized element of Nabyssinian light horsemen. They were then
forced to retreat back to camp with the arrival on the field of a
larger combined force of Wazulu and Nabyssinians.

  1. We went with a small skirmish
game this time around with four
    equally sized cavalry units.

So there was a total of 20 figures
per side and done as a meeting engagement where they maneuvered
out of sight of each other until
they came around the hills and
could at last see the other.

Was a pretty simple battle done
    to work out cavalry tactics.

    Another good one there James!

Looks as if the main thrust
of the Wazulu and Nabyssinian attack is to the west....Interesting!

Lots of very rough ground between
    our columns!

I'm sure that will be exploited!
